Beautiful and very well-balanced red wine from the three main historical areas of Montalcino, which have different climatic characteristics due to their different slopes and altitudes - and thus provide a unique balance between freshness and structure, body and elegance. Immediate and accessible in personality, the Val di Suga 2019 Brunello di Montalcino is very clean and polished in presentation, especially from a tactile point of view. Neat fruit aromas of dark cherry, mulberry and cassis fold into spice and earthiness. The wine's bright freshness also stands out and adds intensity and vibrancy to this mid-weight Brunello.
Val di Suga usually produces a three-part series of single-vineyard wines (Vigna Spuntali, Poggio al Granchio and Vigna del Lago), but these wines were not produced in this challenging vintage. Instead, the estate's best fruit was directed to the Brunello di Montalcino. This is a balanced expression, with blue and purple fruits, cola, earth and dried flowers spread over a lean, compact finish.
