The four wines resulting from the collaboration between Dolce & Gabbana and Donnafugata show attention to detail and unconditional love for Sicily. They are the perfect expression of two top companies "Made in Italy". They represent the aesthetic fusion of craftsmanship, creativity and Sicilian passion. Together, they have created a unique collection of wines and packaging that emotionally capture Sicilian culture and lifestyle and express a clear commitment to the beauty and tradition of Sicily. On Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, wines of great personality are produced in a unique terroir. Due to the altitude of the vineyards, Sicilian sunshine and fresh temperatures come together here: Thanks to the strong temperature fluctuations and the extraordinary richness of the soil - lava flows of rocks, ash and debris, so-called "sciare" - the wines of this area acquire an unmistakable character. Cuordilava is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese and, after a long ageing period, presents itself with notes of red berries, spices and undergrowth. The palate is complex and deep, with flavourful tannins and a long persistence.
