The 2017 Chianti Classico Querciabella is a bit too jammy and ripe for my tastes. The bouquet delivers robust notes of strawberry preserves and cherry confit, but given the heat of the vintage, it is hard to make out the varietal nuances. I'm just not a fan of the overall ripeness here.
Sparkling ruby red. Fragrance of sweet raspberries, notes of tobacco and violets. Enormous density, firm fruit body, with great youthful-fresh temperament, paired with a certain finesse and elegance. Finishes long with notes of juicy red berries.
The 2015 Chianti Classico Querciabella adopts a soft and creamy style that adds momentum to the bouquet and palate. The quality of fruit is soft and enriched with deep cherry, chocolate and toasted espresso. It is an oak-driven wine for sure, but the deep inner ripeness of the fruit harvested in 2015 is more than enough to even things out and give balance. This Chianti Classico should pair seamlessly with your favorite Italian regional dishes.

Italy's most ancient wine region, Tuscany may not be a heavyweight in terms of quantity, but as the home of two of the country's most famous fine wines – Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino – it certainly holds its own in terms of quality. Tuscany's climate ranges from Mediterranean on the coast to continental deep in the Apennines. More than two thirds of the province is covered with hills, an important terroir factor in its fine wines.
