The 2022 SMV Shiraz Mourvèdre Viognier blend comprises 80% Shiraz, 19% Mourvèdre and 1% Viognier. It is an intriguing ensemble of coffee toffee, mocha and bacon brûlée aromas. It displays a bold, spiced and dark red-fruited profile with a substantial mouthfeel. Notes of roasted coffee beans and lavender enrich the palate, culminating in a food-friendly finish. The wine's bacon-berry aromas are unconventional yet harmoniously integrated; indeed, it is a unique profile that works together while challenging traditional flavor norms.
