Catena Zapata Catena Malbec is a rich and full-bodied red wine with a deep purple color. On the palate, expect flavors of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and plum, along with hints of vanilla, spice, and a touch of floral notes. The aroma is intense, with a mix of dark fruit, oak, and a subtle earthiness. What sets this Malbec apart is its velvety texture and well-integrated tannins, leading to a smooth and lingering finish.

This wine is perfect for special occasions or gatherings where you want to impress your guests with a sophisticated yet approachable choice. Pair Catena Malbec with grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses to bring out its full potential. Whether it's a cozy dinner at home or a celebratory event, this Malbec is sure to elevate the experience with its bold flavors and elegant structure.

The 2020 Catena Malbec shows plenty of roasted notes, toast and ripe fruit, the result of a warmer and riper vintage in 225-liter oak barrels. It reveals a soft and velvety texture, juicy fruit and polished tannins. It finishes dry and surprisingly more austere than I anticipated. There were 2.28 million bottles produced.
