Domein Chauveau

Domaine Chauveau, situated in Saint-Andelain within the Pouilly-Fumé appellation of the Loire Valley, is a family-owned winery with a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Transitioning from mixed farming to exclusive viticulture in the mid-1990s, the estate now spans approximately 17 hectares, cultivating primarily Sauvignon Blanc grapes.

The vineyards are planted on diverse soils, including flinty clay, Kimmeridgian marl, and Villiers limestone, contributing to the distinctive minerality and complexity of their wines. Domaine Chauveau produces a range of appellations, notably Pouilly-Fumé, Pouilly-sur-Loire, Sancerre, and Coteaux du Giennois. Their Pouilly-Fumé wines are particularly esteemed for their crisp acidity, aromatic intensity, and subtle smoky notes.

Committed to sustainable viticulture, Domaine Chauveau has achieved certifications such as High Environmental Value (HVE) and Terra Vitis, reflecting their dedication to environmental stewardship and quality wine production. The estate offers wine tastings and tours, providing visitors with an immersive experience into their winemaking practices and the unique terroir of the Loire Valley.
