Tenet Wines

Tenet Wines is a relatively new producer in the wine industry, having only been established in 2013. However, in just a few short years, they have quickly gained recognition and acclaim for their high-quality wines from the Rhone Valley in France.

The Rhone Valley is a historic wine region in southeastern France, known for its diverse and complex wines. It is divided into two main regions: the Northern Rhone and the Southern Rhone. Tenet Wines focuses on the wines from the Northern Rhone, which is renowned for its elegant and age-worthy reds made from Syrah, as well as its aromatic and complex whites made from Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne.

Tenet Wines is a collaboration between renowned winemakers Michel Gassier from the Southern Rhone, and Washington State winemaker Bob Bertheau. Together, they bring their expertise and passion for winemaking to create unique and expressive wines from the Northern Rhone.

One of the key appellations that Tenet Wines focuses on is Côte-Rôtie, which translates to "roasted slope." This appellation is known for its steep, terraced vineyards that are situated on the slopes of the Rhone River. The combination of the unique terroir and the cool climate in this region produces wines with intense aromas, rich flavors, and a distinct mineral character.

Tenet Wines also produces wines from other appellations in the Northern Rhone, including Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage. These wines showcase the different terroirs of the region and highlight the versatility of the Syrah grape.

In addition to their single-varietal wines, Tenet Wines also produces a blend called "The Pundit," which combines Syrah from Washington State with Syrah from the Northern Rhone. This unique blend showcases the similarities and differences between the two regions, resulting in a complex and well-balanced wine.
