Teeling Irish Whiskey

Teeling Irish Whiskey is a well-respected and award-winning producer of whiskey located in the heart of Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 2012 by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling, the company has quickly gained recognition for its high-quality and innovative approach to Irish whiskey making.

The Teeling family has a long history in the Irish whiskey industry, with their ancestors establishing the Cooley Distillery in 1987. However, in 2011, the family sold the distillery, and the Teeling brothers set out to revive the family's legacy by opening their own distillery in the Liberties area of Dublin. This area has a rich history in whiskey making, dating back to the 18th century, and the Teelings were determined to bring back the tradition of crafting premium Irish whiskey in this historic location.

One of the key aspects that sets Teeling Irish Whiskey apart is their dedication to using only the finest and most unique ingredients in their spirits. They source their barley from local Irish farms and use a combination of malted and unmalted barley in their mash bill, giving their whiskey a distinct flavor profile. They also use a triple distillation process, which is a traditional method used in Irish whiskey making, to create a smooth and flavorful spirit.

In addition to their traditional Irish whiskey offerings, Teeling is also known for their innovative approach to whiskey making. They were the first Irish distillery to release a single grain whiskey, and they also produce a range of unique and limited-edition expressions, such as their Brabazon series, which showcases the influence of different fortified wine casks on their whiskey.

The success of Teeling Irish Whiskey has not gone unnoticed, as they have received numerous accolades and awards for their spirits. In 2019, they were named the World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards, solidifying their position as a top producer in the industry.
