Screaming Eagle is located in the Oakville American Viticultural Area (AVA), which is known for its ideal climate and soil conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery also sources grapes from neighboring AVAs, including Rutherford and Stags Leap.

The winery's flagship wine, the Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before undergoing a gentle fermentation process. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for about two years before bottling.
