Onshore Cellars is proud to carry wines from one of the most well-respected wine producers in the world - Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Located in the Burgundy region of France, this prestigious winery is known for its exceptional wines and long-standing history in the industry.

The Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, often abbreviated as DRC, was established in 1869 by Jacques-Marie Duvault-Blochet. However, it was not until the 1930s, when the estate was acquired by the de Villaine and Leroy families, that it truly flourished. The current owners, Aubert de Villaine and Henri-Frédéric Roch, are highly respected in the wine world and have continued to elevate the reputation of DRC through their commitment to quality and tradition.

The winery is situated in the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, specifically in the village of Vosne-Romanée. This location is renowned for producing some of the world's most sought-after and expensive wines. In fact, the DRC's vineyards are considered to be some of the most valuable in the world, with small parcels of land selling for millions of dollars.

The estate is best known for its Pinot Noir wines, with the most famous being their flagship wine, Romanée-Conti. This single vineyard wine is produced from a tiny plot of land that measures just under 5 acres. It is considered to be one of the greatest wines in the world, with its intense aromas, complex flavors, and incredible aging potential.

Aside from Romanée-Conti, DRC also produces other renowned wines such as La Tâche, Richebourg, Romanée-St-Vivant, and Échezeaux. Each of these wines showcases the unique terroir of the region and the expertise of the winemakers at DRC.
