M Chapoutier

M Chapoutier is a renowned wine producer that has been making exceptional wines for over 200 years. Located in the Rhône Valley region of France, in the charming town of Tain-l'Hermitage, the winery has become a symbol of quality and tradition in the world of winemaking.

The history of M Chapoutier dates back to 1808 when the winery was founded by the Chapoutier family. However, it was not until the late 19th century when Polydor Chapoutier took over the winery that it started gaining recognition for its exceptional wines. Polydor's son, Marius, continued the family tradition and became the first winemaker in the Rhône Valley to label his wines by the specific appellation they came from, setting a new standard for quality and authenticity.

Today, M Chapoutier is run by Michel Chapoutier, the seventh generation of winemakers in the family. His passion for winemaking and commitment to biodynamic principles has elevated the winery to new heights. He believes that great wines are made in the vineyard, and thus, has a hands-on approach to viticulture, ensuring that the grapes used in their wines are of the highest quality.

The winery's vineyards are spread over 350 hectares, with the majority of them located in the prestigious Hermitage appellation. This appellation is known for producing some of the best Syrah wines in the world, and M Chapoutier's Hermitage wines are no exception. Their flagship wine, "Le Pavillon," is a single-vineyard Hermitage that consistently receives high ratings from critics and wine lovers alike.

Apart from Hermitage, M Chapoutier also produces wines from other appellations in the Rhône Valley, such as Côte-Rôtie, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Crozes-Hermitage. They also have vineyards
