Il Marroneto

Il Marroneto is a prestigious wine producer located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. This family-owned estate is situated in the renowned wine region of Montalcino, known for producing some of the finest and most sought-after wines in the world. Il Marroneto is dedicated to crafting high-quality wines that are a true expression of the terroir and the Sangiovese grape, which is the main variety used in their production.

The history of Il Marroneto dates back to the 1970s when the estate was purchased by the Mori family. However, it was not until the early 1990s that the family truly focused on producing high-quality wines. Today, the estate is run by Alessandro Mori, who has a deep passion for winemaking and a strong commitment to preserving the traditional methods of production that have been passed down through generations.

The wines of Il Marroneto are made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, which are hand-harvested and carefully selected to ensure only the best fruit is used. The estate's vineyards are located on the slopes of the Montalcino hill, at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The unique microclimate of this area, with warm days and cool nights, along with the rich and diverse soils, contribute to the exceptional quality of the grapes.

One of the most renowned wines produced by Il Marroneto is their Brunello di Montalcino, which is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes and aged for 36 months in large oak barrels. This wine is a true expression of the terroir, with its intense aromas of red fruits, spices, and earthy notes, and a full-bodied and well-structured palate. Il Marroneto also produces a Rosso di Montalcino, which is a younger and more approachable version of their Brunello, perfect for everyday enjoyment.
