Felsina

Felsina is a renowned wine producer located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1966, this family-owned winery has become a benchmark for quality and tradition in the Chianti Classico region.

The Felsina estate covers a vast area of over 600 hectares, of which 95 hectares are dedicated to vineyards. The vineyards are situated in the Chianti Classico appellation, one of the most prestigious and historic wine regions in Tuscany. The climate and soil in this region are ideal for growing Sangiovese, the primary grape used in Felsina's wines.

The winemaking philosophy at Felsina is centered around the idea of expressing the unique characteristics of the Sangiovese grape in each of their wines. This is achieved through careful selection of the best grapes, minimal intervention in the winemaking process, and aging in traditional oak barrels.

One of the most iconic wines produced by Felsina is their Chianti Classico Riserva "Rancia." This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes sourced from the Rancia vineyard, which is known for its exceptional quality and complexity. The wine is aged for 18-20 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a rich and elegant wine with notes of cherry, plum, and spice.

In addition to their Chianti Classico wines, Felsina also produces a range of other wines, including the highly acclaimed "Fontalloro" and "Maestro Raro" Super Tuscans. These wines are made from a blend of Sangiovese and other international grape varieties, showcasing Felsina's versatility and innovation in winemaking.

Felsina's commitment to quality and sustainability is evident in every aspect of their production. The winery follows organic and biodynamic farming practices, using only natural fertilizers and avoiding the use of pesticides and herbicides. This dedication to the land and
