Château Quinault l'Enclos

Château Quinault l'Enclos is a red wine producer based in Saint-Émilion, one of Bordeaux's most historically significant appellations on the Right Bank of the Dordogne. The estate is notably situated within the urban limits of the town of Saint-Émilion itself, which sets it apart geographically from most of its peers. It holds Saint-Émilion Grand Cru status and has been associated with notable ownership in the Bordeaux wine world, including a period under the stewardship of figures connected to Château Cheval Blanc.

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines are produced on limestone plateaux and clay-rich soils that favour Merlot as the dominant variety, typically blended with Cabernet Franc and, to a lesser extent, Cabernet Sauvignon. This combination tends to produce wines with a rounder, more approachable structure than those from the Médoc, with fruit-forward character, supple tannins, and the capacity to age meaningfully depending on the vintage and blend composition.

The estate works with all three classic Right Bank varieties — Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon — as seen in its 2018 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. The 2018 vintage in Bordeaux was widely considered strong across the Right Bank, delivering ripe fruit concentration alongside good structural balance.
