Château La Gurgue

Château La Gurgue is a renowned wine producer located in the Margaux appellation of the Bordeaux region in France. The Château has a long and rich history dating back to the 18th century when it was founded by the Gurgue family. Today, it is owned by the Villars family who have continued the legacy of producing exceptional wines with a unique character and terroir.

The Margaux appellation is known for producing some of the finest wines in the world, and Château La Gurgue is no exception. The vineyard covers 10 hectares and is planted with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes. These grapes are carefully hand-harvested and then aged in French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, resulting in a wine that is full-bodied, complex, and elegant.

The vineyard is located on the left bank of the Gironde estuary, with a mixture of gravel, clay, and limestone soils.
